1. How much will I have to pay? I have limited income.
a. If you are a Medicare recipient, Medicare will pay for 80% of most durable medical equipment. If you have secondary insurance, that plan may pay for the remaining 20% of your durable medical supply costs. If you do not have secondary insurance and are unable to pay the 20% of the cost remaining after Medicare payment, you may apply for a financial hardship request through TOTAL eMEDICAL to reduce your payment amounts.
2. How long does it take to receive my shipment?
a. Receiving any medical supplies through TOTAL eMEDICAL will take approximately 3 to 5 business days. We keep track of the ship dates of supplies that you will need to reorder on a regular basis such as diabetic supplies and ostomy supplies and we will contact you with a reminder when it is time to reorder.
3. What if you do not carry a specific product I need?
a. We will be happy to special order any medical supply item that we do not stock. Please contact our sales team directly to inquire about special orders.
4. Do I have to contact my doctor for a prescription for my medical supplies?
a. No. If you contact us to place an order for any medical supplies that require a prescription, we will contact your doctor for you to obtain the prescription.
5. Do I have to submit my bills to Medicare?
a. No. TOTAL eMEDICAL staffs a team of trained Medicare and Insurance specialists that handle all billing issues. They will submit your bill to Medicare and/or your other insurance, and inform you if any additional payment is required from you.
6. What brands of diabetic testing supplies do you carry?
a. We carry all major national brands of diabetes testing supplies. In the rare instance that you need a diabetes product we do not carry, we would be happy to order it for you.
7. What if I order a product and it malfunctions, breaks, or is not what I ordered?
a. TOTAL eMEDICAL has a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all products ordered. If you receive a product in less than perfectly usable condition please contact us and we will exchange it for a new product or refund you and/or your insurance company completely.
8. Can a family member order supplies on my behalf?
a. Yes, a family member may order on your behalf if you list them as your emergency contact with our sales staff. When they order your supplies they must know some simple information about you like address and birth date.
9. Do you have extended hours so that I can contact you before or after work?
a. TOTAL eMEDICAL has 24 hour customer support staff. At any time of the day or night you will always be able to reach a live person to assist you with your medical supply needs. We do not “out source” after hours calling, all calls are handled by regular TOTAL eMEDICAL staff.
10. What professional associations is TOTAL eMEDICAL a member of?
a. TOTAL eMEDICAL is a Medicare compliant and accredited company. We are a member of The Better Business Bureau, and are fully licensed by all government healthcare advisory boards.
